Since version 2004.07 there is userfriendly installator on cdrom. You need only few click to install system on hard drive.Distribution is compiled for 686 cpu (pentium2) so it is more powerfull than most common distributions wchich are compiled for 386/486. The heart of Navyn OS is kernel 2.6.7. I tried to put the newest version of software on cdrom. There is for example xfree4.4, mplayer 1.0, gimp2.0. Fluxbox is default window manager, it is very fast and comfortable, the memory requirements are minimal in contrast to such slow and big window managers like KDE or GNOME. The system was also designed to be easy for iso customizing, so you can add programs to cdrom image using special scripts. During the booting system try to configure hardware ( especially network cards and sound cards ). All programs have tiny hardware requirements. On the cd there are all library headers so it great for compiling programs. I tried to put many programs connected with security and network. There is for example sniffers like dsniff, tcpdumpm port scanners: nmap, nessus. This distribution is made by me: Mateusz Dworak aka compbatant.

On Navyn Os there are many programs connected with network security. One of the most improtants programs is nmap, great port scanner wiht many advanced options. On cd there is also sniffer dsniff ideal for capturing passwords. Next program is nessus, which can be used for searching vulnerabilities on remote systems. You can easilly compile exploits becasue thera are all library headers on cd. Of course there is also ssh, netcat and great program for searching samba shares : nbtscan. Drivers for WIFI cards are compiled into kernel so this distro is ideal for wardriving, a lot programs for this:

For browsing websites you can use three programs: firefox which is lite version of mozilla and very light browser dillo ( don't support css ) and the third my favourite one opera, very ergonomic and fast. For sending mails and using usenet there is sylpheed-claws. There are two internet communicators: kadu and psi. This first one is gadu-gadu network client which is very popular in Poland. Psi is client for jabber network it can be used also to communicate with ICQ by special transports in jabber. The easiest way to browse samba shares is to use LinNeigborhood. Gftp is great program for ftp wiht GUI interface, there is also command line program for ftp. To connect to remote shell account you can use ssh client. All files from ftp and http servers you can dowloand by wget.
