Mandrakeonline combines advanced built-in Mandrakelinux updating capabilities with a unique online service which provides the following features:
* Perfect system security: Mandrakeonline provides automated software updates including security patches, bug fixes and errata notices. All updates are based on a machine's specific hardware configuration and installed software.
* Notification of updates: Mandrakeonline can alert users on availability of updates by e-mail and by an applet notification on the desktop.
* Automatic updates: With automatic software updates there is no need to worry about manual updating of the Mandrakelinux systems. All networked Mandrakelinux systems can be managed from one Mandrakeprofile and lets the administrator keep a track of the status of all the machines on the network.

With the new Mandrakeonline, a simple mouse click or a single command is enough to update a Mandrakelinux system with security updates and bug fixes. Updates can be scheduled for a convenient time, such as at night when the computer has sufficient free resources.
