Linux-Tip News

We are proud to present Linux-Tip Europe. This page is designed to provide the Linux users community (not only in Europe) with news and articles that are of interest to them. It works by allowing members of the community to submit news and articles relating to Linux hardware and software. This same community can then decide what tips should be promoted based on what they consider to be the most important or interesting to the community by voting stories up and down. Stories that receive enough votes are promoted to the Linux-Tip Europe homepage. Bookmark and Share

This document (should) contain every command required to convert a single drive over to a fully mirrored RAID-1 system. During the process, you will have an opportunity to change the filesystem type (perhaps from Ext2 to XFS or ReiserFS); I will be migrating partitions from Ext2 to Ext3 and XFS.
My Linux distribution of choice is Debian, and this guide was written with this distribution in mind. However, aside from the initial software package installation and the compilation/installation of the kernel, the rest of the guide should be applicable to all Linux distributions.
