The Linux based Astaro firewall manages inbound and outbound communications traffic. It is installed on any standard PC hardware and placed at the point where the Internet enters your facility, controlling network traffic for security purposes. A user-friendly point-and-click interface allows Administrators to block or allow access, for each protocol, to each internal network, server, service, and user group. The firewall inspects both networking information (packet headers) and application information (payloads) to detect and block suspicious traffic. Read more about the key features like Proxy, Anti Virus, Intrusion Protection, Spam Filter here. With the added HTTP content filter option “Spyware Protection” ASL is able to:
- Detect and block spyware before it enters the organization and infects computers
- Intercept and block spyware communication from already infected computers to the internet
- Optionally block all suspicious and unknown sites to even protect against spyware originating from websites, which have not been categorized yet
- Additionally this option enhances protection against phishing attacks by blocking communication to these fraudulent links
Private home users can register via MyAstaro request a free home use license. Any optional subscriptions can be obtained at a reduced price for the home-use version in the online shop. |
